Yesterday afternoon, the secretariat of the organization
committee of the first Pan-PRD Regional Economic and Trade Cooperation
Seminar held a news conference in Guangzhou Mansion, which announced
the great success of the seminar and the achievements that 847 projects
were signed between “9+2” members, the total amount of bargain hit
RMB 292.6 billion and 8 introduction meetings were successfully held
for specific sectors, which open up the new prospects of regional
economic cooperation of China. Director of the Organization Committee,
the Standing Committeeman of Guangdong Provincial Committee of CPC
and Deputy Governor of Guangdong Province, Zhong Yangsheng made a
conclusion to the achievements and experience of the seminar. The
inspector from Guangdong Provincial Economic and Trade Commission,
Director of Guangdong Provincial Economic Association attended the
conference. Deputy Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the Organization
Committee, Director of the News Office of Guangdong Provincial Government,
Li Shoujin presided over the conference.
According to preliminary statistics, 840 projects among the total
847 are all invested by enterprises, except the other 7 projected
sponsored by government; the total investment amount reaches RMB
172.4 billion, including 85 projects concerning energy and infrastructure
construction with the investment amount of RMB 68.8 billion, 452
projects concerning industry with the investment amount of RMB 55.9
billion, 100 projects concerning trade with the investment amount
of RMB 24.8 billion, 37 projects concerning tourism with the investment
amount of 3 billion; 60 projects concerning agriculture with the
investment amount of RMB 4.5 billion; 58 projects concerning scientific
education and sanitation with the investment amount of RMB 5.3 billion,
36 projects concerning information with the investment amount of
RMB 8.3 billion, 5 projects concerning environmental protection
with the investment amount of RMB 2 billion and 7 projects concerning
labor collaboration.
Zhong Shengyang made a remark finally, “the first Pan-PRD Regional
Economic and Trade Cooperation Seminar plays a very important role
in promoting the overall and coordinating development of regional
economy, and is a pageant for neighboring members to realize mutual
benefits. This seminar not only was concluded fruitfully, strengthen
the confidence of the 9+2 members to push forward the agreement
of the Pan-PRD structure, but also created the new perspective for
regional economic cooperation with a new mode and new contents,
which will surly promote the development in regional cooperation
in the Pan-PRD.
