Zhuhai Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (hereinafter called “association”) was established in Aug. 1998. The association is a municipal non-profitable society with its current over 1,800 members and its two sub-associations (Xiangzhou Branch and Doumen Association), composed of foreign invested enterprises operated in Zhuhai, enterprises invested by expatriates from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese, organizations engaged in services for foreign investment, local organs of foreign enterprises. The gist of the association is: to observe the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China, to carry out the national laws, regulations and policies of opening up and encouraging foreign investment, attempting to serve its members and investors and maintain their legal rights; to transmit the opinions and requirements of its members and investors to relevant government sectors and promote continuous improvement of the investment environment; to strengthen the connection, understanding and cooperation between Chinese and foreign member enterprises, members and government organs and among members; to communicate information and exchange experience; to promote the positive function of its members in the construction of China’s modernization and international economic cooperation.

The leading organ of the association is called council and headed by Deputy Director of Zhuhai Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau, Director of Zhuhai Foreign Investment Management Center, Su Jiancheng. The secretariat is the executive organ of the association and responsible for serving member enterprises and external connection of the association.
